Globigerinella adamsi
Life: G. adamsi is a symbiont bearing shallow dwelling species that is readily distinguished from other planktic species because it is one of the rare planktic species. Distinguishing features: The species has fine spines that cover the shell. It is initially trochospiral and becomes nearly planispiral coiling. Chambers are globular to long and oval, and the aperture is umbilical. Typical adult size >250 microns. Other names: Hastigerina (Bolliella) adamsi. More information: mikrotax; foraminifera.eu |
