Globigerinella calida
Life: G. calida is a symbiont bearing shallow dwelling species that is abundant in temperate waters of the modern ocean. This species also occurs in tropical and subtropical regions. Distinguishing features: G. calida is a spinose foraminifera with a low trochospiral test and lacks algal symbionts. It has a low spire and rounded chambers. Distribution is tropical to temperate.
