Life: G. theyeri is a non-spinose deeper dwelling planktic foraminifera. This species is common in temperate waters of the modern ocean. Distinguishing features: Species has a large and thin, low trochospiral test and 4 - 5 chambers in the final whorl. The aperture is bordered by a narrow lip.
