Globigerinoides elongatus
Life: G. elongatus is a spinose shallow dweller symbiont bearing species that is abundant in warm and temperate waters. Distinguishing features: G. elongatus has supplementary apertures and a ruber/sacculifer-type spinose shell surface texture. This species is distinguishable from G. ruber by an asymmetrically flattened final chamber. See Aurahs et al., 2011. Typical adult size >250 microns.
