Globigerina falconensis
Life: G. falconensis is a spinose shallow dweller. This species is common in temperate waters of the modern ocean. Distinguishing features: G. falconensis is a spinose planktic foraminifera with 4 chambers in the final whorl. It is distinguished from G. bulloides by the slightly smaller test, elongate aperture, and presence of an apertural lip. Typical adult size >150 microns.
