Welcome to the Foraminarium
MicroCT imaging is becoming a common practice for generating high-resolution 3D models of microfossils including foraminifera ('forams').
Our goal is to generate 3D models for every extant (living) planktic foram species and make the data readily available for teaching and outreach purposes. We are also adding benthic foram and extinct planktic species.
Have a foram you'd like to have scanned on a MicroCT scanner?
Contact us for details related to our project or contact the microCT facility directly.

OUR GOALWe plan to generate at least one 3D model of every extant (still living) planktic foraminifera, some benthic, and even some extinct species. Visit the page again to see additional models added to the site. |
